Life Before Spam
That’s what it was like back in 1942. No smart phones. No Internet. Not even television. Back when spam was really SPAM and came in a can. Fortunately for us, there was ad man Earl Heims, who opened the doors of Earl Heims & Associates. He did good ads. Sometimes right on the back of a cocktail napkin. In 1962, ex-CIA public relations man, Harry Turtledove, joined him. Heims & Turtledove did good ads and good PR (but now you had to know the secret code.) In 1972, Jay Clemens, fresh out of business school, added strategic marketing to the mix and things changed forever.
Today, well over a half century later, Turtledove Clemens is a fully-integrated marketing communications firm with offices in Portland and Seattle.
